Its great that the chapters give you the possibility of doing a few exercises to practice the skills, however there is very little novelty in the book. The only chapters that were useful to me were 1,2,10,12 and I didn’t find all the pages useful, only a couple from each chapter.
Essential for students who are mystified by tutor comments such as ‘more critical analysis needed’, this is an invaluable tool for anyone wishing to develop advanced skills in this area and learn to apply them to tasks such as reading, writing and note-taking. I read this in the hope of gaining some extra knowledge which could help me significantly better my ability to write critical reviews and critically analyze case studies I’m a BSc biological sciences student.

This book is for students who need to know the ins and outs of critical thinking. The book is also just as firm and sound with the development of writing skills, and though this rating is not my best writing; please do not let get past you as this book is an excellent, excellent purchase.
